The 2025 Minto US Open Pickleball Championships, held April 26 through May 3 at East Naples Community Park in Naples, Florida, once again lived up to its reputation as “The Biggest Pickleball Party in the World®.” This year’s event set new records with 3,400 players participating from all 50 states and more than 40 countries, including over 55,000 fans showcasing the sport’s global momentum. As the premier tournament in the sport, the U.S. Open continues to showcase the highest levels of competition and community spirit. Matches were broadcast live on CBS Sports Network, offering national exposure to one of the fastest-growing sports in the world.

Among the competitors was Kyle Laramie, the owner of Veterans Care Coordination and a partner in ELV8 Golf and Premier Pitching Performance. Kyle has been playing pickleball for five years and has been a sponsored athlete for the past two years. He and his doubles partner, Ryan Dickherber, competed in the Men’s Doubles 45–49 Open Skill Division, which features top-rated amateurs ranked between 4.3 and 5.9. The pair went undefeated with a record of 4-0 and secured the Gold Medal, defeating last year’s defending champions in a hard-fought match to claim the title.

At 48 years old, Kyle has his sights set on the Senior Pro division, which he plans to enter when he turns 50. He currently competes as a sponsored athlete with Addict Pickleball. While continuing to train and compete at a high level, he also leads a growing organization dedicated to supporting veterans and their families.

The 2025 tournament also saw tennis legend Andre Agassi make his professional pickleball debut. Teaming with 18-year-old phenom Anna Leigh Waters, Agassi won his first match a day after turning 55, defeating a pair of teenage opponents in a tightly contested mixed pro division game (11-8, 9-11, 11-7). His entry into the sport drew international attention and highlighted the inclusive and intergenerational nature of pickleball.

The Minto US Open Pickleball Championships continue to set the gold standard for the sport. Looking ahead, the pickleball world is already anticipating the 10th Annual Minto US Open Pickleball Championships, set for April 11–18, 2026, once again in Naples, Florida.

Veterans Care Coordination is proud to celebrate Kyle’s achievement and commitment both on and off the court, as he exemplifies the dedication, leadership, and service to others that define our mission to serve Veterans and their families.
