Every December, wreath-laying ceremonies at more than 2,100 locations across the United States takes place as a mission to remember the fallen, honor those who serve, and teach our children the value of Freedom.

Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery

Veterans Care Coordination is proud to be a part of the ceremony at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery through their VTO (volunteer time off) program. Several VCC employees have signed up to Remember and Honor veterans by laying Remembrance Wreaths on the graves of our countries fallen heroes or by sponsoring a wreath. Volunteers say the name of each veteran aloud as they lay the wreaths at every gravesite.

There have been many beautiful pictures and moving stories from employees who volunteered over the last couple of days. Whether it was a family member of a VCC employee or the gravesite of a stranger, many were moved to tears as they said the name of a fallen hero aloud while laying the wreath. It is an honor for us to take part in this mission to recognize the service and sacrifice of America’s fallen service members.
