Earl Williams
Veteran of the Month
Earl Williams
VCC is proud to announce that Earl Williams is the “client of the month” for April 2015.
Earl enlisted in the Army on Dec. 8, 1954. He was initially stationed in Germany, but subsequently served in France for the remainder of his military career.
As an Army engineer, Earl worked on just about every piece of equipment, including bulldozers, trucks and pumps stations, to name just a few.
Earl was released in November 1956 and moved back to his home state of Pennsylvania. He worked in maintenance, as well as at rock quarry where he cut rock for sidewalks and masonry work. It was in Pennsylvania that he met his wife. The couple will celebrate their 61 wedding anniversary in June 2015.
Through the years, the couple has also lived in Missouri and Florida. They ultimately returned to Missouri to retire, as well as be close to their six children, 17 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. In his spare time, Earl enjoys hunting and fishing. He also likes renovating homes. In fact, each of the homes he and his wife have purchased they have remodeled together.
