Home Care for Veterans

Patricia Belcher is our surviving spouse of the month and we would like to honor her and her husband Jack Belcher.Home-Care-for-Veterans

Jack Belcher served in the Navy during the Vietnam Era from 1964 to 1975. His duties included serving on the USS Missouri Carrier Ship and he worked on planes AC units

Jack and Patricia lived in and around Kansas City, Missouri their entire lives. They did not have kids together but had lots and lots of dogs to love on. Patricia has a Pug named Muffin to keep her company now.

Patricia’s favorite things to do are Watching TV, reading books and spending time with her Pug, Muffin.

Patricia shared a wonderful wedding memory with us and wanted to share her memory of that wonderful and interesting day.  Jack and Patricia Belcher got married in 1980. They were married almost 32 years before Jack passed away and Patricia shared many great memories from their wedding day. It started off with a bang, the wedding cake arrived to the church and as they were bringing it in, the top layer fell off and hit the floor and the cake topper lost an arm.  They fixed the arm of the cake topper with a little glue but they had to go back and make a new top layer. Meanwhile Patricia was told by Jack “whatever you do don’t look at the cake”. Then Patricia was steaming her dress with an iron and it spit water on the front of her dress. They had to wash it in the washer and the stitching that was used to hold up the bottom of the dress came undone, therefore she had to hold it up as she walked down the aisle. The end of the night was even more eventful as they were locked out of their house and Jack had to climb through a tiny bedroom window and go unlock the door to let Patricia in.

Patricia, thank you for your wonderful life story and thank you Jack for your service to our country.

About Kyle Laramie, Founder & CEO

Kyle founded Veterans Care Coordination in April 2011. As its founder and CEO of VCC, Kyle is driven by the memory of his grandfather, a World War II Veteran who unnecessarily missed out on essential VA benefits because Kyle’s family wasn’t aware of available opportunities. In recognition of his impact in leadership, Kyle was named to the St. Louis Business Journal’s prestigious “40 Under 40” list and St. Louis Small Business Monthly’s “100 St. Louisans to Know” in 2014. VCC was named a St. Louis Small Business Monthly “Top 20” small business and a finalist for the St. Louis Post Dispatch Top Workplace (2015-2022), St. Louis Business Journal Best Place to Work (2019 & 2022), and the Arcus Awards (2014). The team has served more than 14,000 Veteran clients and their families. Kyle frequently speaks on Veterans’ benefits, addressing conferences such as the Home Care Association of America and Decision Health. He is passionate about giving back and has built a charitable-minded organization that supports various philanthropic efforts.
